POSITION SUMMARY
The Evaluation and Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for managing all evaluation activities, continuous improvement projects, and quality assurance plans for all Iris House direct service programs. It is expected that the Evaluation and Quality Assurance Manager will hire and supervise a coordinator-level evaluation and quality assurance staff member.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with program directors and front-line staff to create, oversee and implement evaluation programs and initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and measuring program efficacy;
Serve as leader of the agency’s quality management committee; provide technical assistance to program directors during quality assurance activities and corrective action planning including the oversight of case record review;
Develop evaluation-related plans, materials, protocols for proposals and currently active programs;
Lead the development and execution of quality improvement projects across the agency;
Contribute to the development and improvement of data tracking and reporting systems;
Manage and analyze evaluation data;
Manage the annual development, distribution, and analysis of client satisfaction and staff satisfaction surveys.
Oversee accuracy and integrity of data collected;
Produce written reports, publications, presentations and grant/proposal submissions concerning evaluation and quality improvement processes and findings;
Train management and front-line staff on various aspects of evaluation and quality improvement;
Act as a liaison for external evaluation projects in which we are participants;
Keeps abreast of the latest development in quality improvement techniques for HIV/AIDS service programs by reading available written resource materials, attending appropriate meetings and workshops and engaging in other useful methods to maintain up-to-date HIV/AIDS program evaluation awareness.
Oversee, administer and evaluate client and staff satisfaction surveys annually.
OTHER POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Attend, participate in and represent Iris House in outside meetings such as monthly Harlem Community Academic Partnership Board meetings and Quality Improvement Learning Network meetings.
2. Prepares for and participates in Iris House directors’ team meetings.
3. Demonstrates teamwork and open communication.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: An advanced degree in health or human services field or the social sciences. Bachelor degree required, Masters preferred.
Experience: In addition to the above-listed job responsibilities and educational requirements, the ideal candidate for this position possesses most or all of the following:
Minimum three years managing research or program evaluation projects
Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods
Advanced statistical knowledge and facility with SPSS
Excellent written and communication skills
Other Requirements: Excellent judgment required. Must be dependable and use courtesy and tact when dealing with Iris House staff members, clients, and visitors.
