Treatment Education is conducted in a group and focuses on issues on adherence to medication. Participants discuss the importance of maintaining adherence and strategies to increase treatment.
Clients are also educated using a series of modules that the agency has created to increase knowledge on HIV, transmission, treatment options and interactions.
Clients are provided with counseling to ensure that adherence is maintained.
Outreach on treatment education and HIV awareness is done to the community at risk in Harlem and the Bronx by presentations and one on one discussion. Literature and condoms are provided during these sessions to minimize the risk of HIV/AIDS and STDs.
