Former Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messinger, who was instrumental in providing a meeting and support space for a group of HIV+ women in the early 1990's sent a video greeting to the attendees! Those discussion groups grew into the core of Iris House's founding members, and we are so grateful for Ms. Messinger's support from BEFORE the very beginning!
