Other Ways You Can Help
CORPORATE AFFINITY GROUPS AND MATCHING PROGRAMS
Work for a company that has corporate affinity groups? Women? People of Color? LGBTQI? We would be delighted to come speak to them about our work and how they can help us truly make a difference.
IN-KIND ITEMS
Effective December 27, 2021, Iris House is no longer accepting in-kind donations.
GIFTS FOR CLIENTS
Several times a year, particularly around Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Thanksgiving and the Winter Holidays, Iris House’s Food and Nutrition Department throws special luncheons for our clients. In addition to having a menu inspired by holiday traditions, we like to give clients small gifts: hair or beauty products, feel good items, new clothing, etc. If you have access to 100-150 items that might make a thoughtful takeaway, we would deeply appreciate them.
HOLIDAY GIFTS FOR CHILDREN
Every year we throw a huge holiday party for the children, grandchildren and other dependents of our clients. The party is generously supported by individual donors who’ve made it their own priority to ensure that the space, food, games, and decorations are available. We have been lucky in the support of this program by individuals, companies, non-profits, schools and other groups who have donated hundreds of unwrapped toys so that each of the children we serve gets some holiday goodies to take home with them! Join them by making a gift of unwrapped toys this year!
For specific information on this program, please contact Kimberly Richardson at (646) 548-0100 Ext. 221 or email her at krichardson@irishouse.org.
